Why the ban should be lifted? :
I was offered staff on the hotel advertised and me and a friend decided to accept it as a joke. Me and that friend did not actually join the hotel, but it was a stupid way of getting an advertisers hopes up.
The general reason I think of it as a joke is because we made jokes about getting staff and doing a hotel call and saying things from funny vines, (obviously which are against the rules) but we found it funny anyways.
My mentioning of the hotel was stupid and I did not have the intentions of advertising.
I did jokingly accept staff, but it was not a serious accepting, and it was for an inside joke of "having the power to send a message to everyone on the hotel"
I did not actually ask for staff, I just repeated the URL and made a mention of joining the hotel to apply for staff to do things like send Hotel Wide messages like "What the HECK is up JOSH" (an inside joke)

I understand that bans that deal with advertising usually are not appealed, but I do hope you can understand that I did not at all mean to do this and it was a very very stupid move of me.

i understand maybe you were playing a joke, but you clearly mentioned the full url of the hotel (more than once) and stated that you were going to join and become staff on the hotel to another user. as a matter of fact, you clearly had stated that you did join to your friend and you encouraged the user to join with you.

i'm sorry but advertising is completely prohibited from the hotel. you honestly should have known better.
