Remove inactive users

I was really hoping to get the username Chicken on Fresh Hotel, unfortunately I wasn't able to because it was already taken probably by somebody who used it as a joke for a week then never played again. I managed to get it on the forums though. My current name in-game is Chickin which is kinda close but it bugs me a little that it's incorrectly spelled.

I was wondering if there is/ever will be a way to change your in-game name, and if inactive users will ever be removed. Something like people who haven't been on in like 6+ months.
