This is a thread explaining some technical features of wired and how it works.
This thread will be updated as more wired features are added.
Timers
Each room has its own 'hidden' timer that's used with wired.
The timer starts when the first user enters the room and ends when the last user exits the room.
This timer can be reset with the 'WIRED Effect: Reset Timer' and effects can be triggered using the 'WIRED Effect: At set time'.
Show message
The Show message wired will show up to 255 characters of text.
In the wired 'WIRED Effect: Show message' you can use the following special words:
#MSG# = This will be replaced with the full message the user typed. Used with 'User says keyword'.
#USERID# = This will be replaced to the users ID
#USERNAME# = This will be replaced to the users username
#CREDITS# = This will be replaced to the users credit balance
#PIXELS# = This will be replaced to the users duckets/pixel balance
#ROOMID# = This will be replaced to the current rooms room ID
#ROOMNAME# = This will be replaced to the current rooms room name
#ONLINECOUNT# = This will be replaced with the current number of online users
#ROOMCOUNT# = This will be replaced with the number of users in this room
#LOADEDROOMS# = This will be replaced with the number of rooms active in the hotel
#ITEMID# = This will be replaced with the item ID that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
#ITEMNAME# = This will be replaced with the furni 'name' that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
#ITEMPOSX# = This will be replaced with the furniture's x position that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
#ITEMPOSY# = This will be replaced with the furniture's y position that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
#ITEMPOSZ# = This will be replaced with the furniture's z position that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
#ITEMROT# = This will be replaced with the furniture's rotation that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
#ITEMTYPE# = This will be replaced with the furniture's type that the user interacted with. Used with 'User walks on', 'User walks off' and 'State changed'
NOTE: You must use the correct capitalization shown above.
Enters room
All effects that occur when a user enters the room are delayed by 1 second due to the 'Show message' effect not working without delay.
Delays
The delay option works on all wired with the option visible in the setting window.
Glitches
If your wired ever glitches when saving it - not updating properly or doesn't work after being saved you should unload your room (type :unload). When wired is saved it is scheduled to update itself automatically, although sometimes a bug occurs when 2 wired are attempting to update at the exact same time.
