Well here's why the Stormcloaks are bad:

1) Ulfric murdered the King of Skyrim, when he could have done things more diplomatically. Nuff said there.
2) The entire town of Windhelm is full of xenophobic nords, of which Ulfric is one. I'm an Argonian player mainly, so that is self explanatory.
3) Ulfric was the one who got the Aldermeri Dominion into Skyrim. The Empire tried their best to keep them out.

He is always the first not aggressive NPC I kill. I do it in a sick twisted ritual kind of way. First, I get smithing to 30, and pick up Steel Smithing. I then build a Steel Dagger, improve it, enchant and then name it after who ever I am going to kill it with. I learn their daily habits, like were they are at what time, and where do they sleep. I always visit the local pub or inn and have a drink, what ever is on tap. The Drunken Huntsmen sold Honeybrew Meed, that did well. As Nazeem sleeps in the Drunken Huntsmen, I wait for him to go to bed, which is normally around 8:30pm, then sneak up and stab the newly forged dagger into his neck. I proceed to put the dagger into the target's inventory and wait for my arrest.

I've been leaning towards a more battle-mage style recently. After I had to cheat to kill that one dude who resists every single magic type, I started training my one-handed to use spells and daggers. Works well tbh.
