We do accept American Express but your card isn't being accepted probably an error on your side, because we've just had 3 american express orders come in past 10 mins all went in smoothly.

You sure you have enough funds? if so clear your cookies and cache and make sure everything is typed in correctly before retrying again.

Are you also aware it's £8.00 GBP aka around 14 USD dollars? do you have that much balance available? is your card approved to make online purchases? perhaps a limit is infact in place? or it was flagged for fraud, could be a fuckload of things really.
